| Shanghai Rego International
School only opened in September
of 2003 yet already, thanks to its dedicated and committed
staff, it has all the hallmarks of a school that has
been firmly established for a substantially longer period
of time.
The National Curriculum,
complete with the Key Stage Testing and optional tests,
is fully implemented throughout the  school
with the addition of daily Mandarin for all students
up to and including Year 9. The school now also has a fully integrated Dutch Curriculum (you can download it from the menu on the left).
Beyond this we have a wide ranging activities programme
for all students: our school has entered teams in local and international
sporting competitions with great success; we have,
in addition to the class music provision, wide ranging
opportunities for individual instrumental tuition;
our students have won prizes in local Art and Science
competitions; have performed concerts in our own and
other schools and have staged production of 'Romeo & Juliet', 'Bugsy Malone', 'Frankenstein' and 'Scrooge' . With the continued support of our Parents,
and the growth of the school, we look forward to continuing
and further enhancing our extra-curricular programme.
The phrase "education for life"
certainly comes to mind when considering what is offered
at SRIS and I feel sure the contents of this web site
will confirm that with that as an aim, we are more than
already achieving it.
