Many activities are run by SRIS staff on site but when outside instructors need to be hired or outside facilities are required then extra charges are made. Not all activities are always made available but ample choice is given to students and there is always plenty of variety available.
2. After School Activities
These are arranged and run by SRIS staff and are scheduled from 16.00 ?17.00 or sometimes until 18.00 on weekdays and for rugby from 10.00 ?12.30 on Saturday mornings, these sessions being held in Pudong on the Dulwich/Shanghai Hairy Crabs rugby pitches. Most of these are sporting activities (in all major sports) and sometimes involve team fixtures and the school relies on the support of parents to pick students up from school and, in the case of Saturday morning rugby to take the students to and from the venue. In addition the school has School Orchestra practice on Mondays, Key Stage 2 Dance class on Wednesdays, School Jazz Band on Thursdays and ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory lessons on Fridays all held from 16.00 ?17.00 inclusive.
